Sales Manager Vacancy

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare, implement and monitor the sales and distribution strategies

  • Recruit, train and manage a decentralized network of agents

  • Grow sales and drive collection efficiency by setting targets, creating incentives, reporting progress, and rewarding achievement

  • Build systems to efficiently manage inventory

  • Define sales team organizational structure

  • Design, pilot and implement an improved compensation structure for the sales team

 

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in sales

  • Experience managing a network of decentralized sales agents in either off-grid energy, financial services, mobile-money or other any other related industry

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a network of field offices and regional representatives, with support functions, in a comparable industry

  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and stock across multiple regions

  • Ability to build and manage relations at all levels within a fast-growing startup company

  • Fluency in spoken English and Kiswahili

 

Compensation

Compensation for the role is structured to include base pay commensurate with experience, benefits and bonus.
