Deevabits Green Energy (DGE) is an award-winning for-profit social enterprise that distributes and finances off-grid solar technology to help meet the basic energy needs of underserved rural communities. Over the past 5+ years, we have reached 23,000+ rural households impacting more than 115,000+ people in Kenya.

Employment

The majority of people especially women living in the rural areas lack decent employment.

How Dangerous is Kerosene?

In Africa, household air pollution kills almost 5x more than cigarette smoking.

Our Solution

DGE solves these problems by operating in “the last-last-mile” of the supply chain cycle, distributing solar products to underserved rural areas through a network of Village Solar Entrepreneurs (VSEs), and leveraging on consumer financing via Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO).
